Christmas at Cougar Ridge

It’s March and the people of Cougar Ridge are more ready for Santa than they are the Easter Bunny.

Yes, while the weather has been sunny with temperatures near 15 degrees, many families in are still deep in the holiday spirit – of Christmas.

Granted, the snow is just melting off some sidewalks this week and March is, statistcally, the snowiest month of the year in Calgary .. but it’s still been more than 10 weeks since we all had visions of sugar plums.

These photos were all taken within a 4 block walk of my house.

March 2010 is Christmas in Cougar Ridge March 2010 is still Christmas in Cougar Ridge March 2010 is still Christmas in Cougar Ridge March 2010 is still Christmas in Cougar Ridge March 2010 is Christmas in Cougar Ridge March 2010 is still Christmas in Cougar Ridge March 2010 is still Christmas in Cougar Ridge March 2010 is still Christmas in Cougar Ridge

I can understand why many would leave an intricately plotted series of lights on the roof, but I just dont get how you can come home everyday and stare at a Christmas tree on your porch, candy canes on your lawn or a wreath on your garage and not say to yourself “Yeah, I should probably take that down.”

Personally, I’m more eager about getting some flowers in my garden than some garland.

OMG… this is what you want me to move into? Hehhe… That's a little nuts. (My place sold in 3 days btw) Next up — Calgary househunting! We'll be in town at the end of the week!
