World Diabetes Day is in 2 weeks. Today, however, starts an entire month of awareness and effort to shine a light on those living with diabetes and those searching for a solution.
November is Diabetes Month. How can you help?
If you have a blog or a website, donate some of your ad space to a World Diabetes Day countdown banner. There are many to choose from and the World Diabetes Day website has easy to copy and past code for banners in multiple languages.
You can also follow Diabetes groups on Twitter and help echo the awareness by retweeting their messages. Adding a World Diabetes Day Twibbon to your icon will also help awareness.

Another great initiative would be to join Team Diabetes. I’m training for a marathon in Rio de Janeiro in June 2010. Deadline for entry is in January, but if you join the team now you can get a head start on your fundraising and capitalize on the awareness World Diabetes Day will bring.
