It’s the unofficial start of summer, the Victoria Day Long Weekend, and while the temperatures haven’t been scorching the past week or so, it’s still warm enough to hit the outdoor pools (if you go in the afternoon!)

Last year we cracked New Brighton Pool on opening day and plan to do the same again this weekend.

Here’s a list of some Metro Vancouver outdoor pools opening this weekend (some stay closed until June).

Kitsilano Pool – 2305 Cornwall Avenue, Vancouver

Second Beach Pool – Stanley Park Drive, Vancouver

New Brighton Pool – North Windermere Street, Vancouver

Steveston Pool – 4151 Moncton Street, Richmond

Bear Creek Pool – 13820 88 Ave, Surrey

Burnaby’s outdoor pools at Central Park, McPherson and Robert Burnaby will open next weekend, May 25.

Coquitlam’s outdoor pools at Spani and Eagle Ridge will open in June.
