Vancouver Canucks Fans Have Stanley Cup Playoff Fever
Hi, um .. boss dude?
Yes, Buzz.
I’ve got a fever. A really bad fever. I think it’s playoff fever. I won’t be in til the middle of June, okay?
See you at 3 this afternoon.
Okay.
It’s time, gang. Whether you grow a playoff beard, paint your face, rock the car flag or just wear the colours on game day – everyone in Vancouver is pumped up and ready to go for the Vancouver Canucks to give another chase at Lord Stanley’s stein. Even the kids are rocking the jerseys to daycare!

The Vancouver Canucks were the hottest team down the stretch for the last half of the season, and enter the toughest part of the year with all the momentum they need.
That big push started on February 3 when, with the help of Paisley Town, we performed a cleansing ceremony at GM Place and got the boys on the right track.
Virgin Radio FM 95.3’s afternoon DJ, Buzz Bishop, held a “cleansing” in February when the Canucks seemed destined for a post-season golf game. After that on-air “positive energy thing,” the Canucks turned the season around.
Now Bishop, who is also picking the Canucks to beat St. Louis, is planning an on-air session with psychic Paisley Town this afternoon.
Town is polishing up the crystals and jumping on the Canucks bandwagon. She’s going back to GM Place later today with her crystals, stones, sweetgrass, sage and good-luck charms to help the Canucks win.
“If enough people focus on attracting abundance in their lives, they will play well,” she maintains.

Forget what playoff fever is like? This is a little taste from the spring of 2007.
If you’ve scored playoff tickets, be sure to show up well before the 7p puck drop. Towels will be draped over the seats for you inside, but outside there is a great big tailgate-styled pre-party on the North Plaza of GM Place.
Fans attending playoff games at General Motors Place are encouraged to wear Canucks colours and to arrive early to take part in the Canucks Party on the Plaza on the North Plaza beginning two hours prior to each home game.
The Party on the Plaza, presented by Global BC, will feature music by Dr Strangelove, complimentary hot dogs courtesy of Grimm’s and Save-On-Foods, as well as complimentary Coca-Cola beverages and Van Houtte Coffee, to the first 1000 fans.
Face painting and a number of other activities will also be available.

Don’t have tickets to the game? Heading to a brew pub, friends house or big outdoor plaza will be a fun way to catch the fever. This year the Canucks will be showing their playoff games on the big screen outside Canada Place.
Canada’s Storyboard is the 25-foot high-definition LED screen located at the front of the iconic facility. A natural gathering place, sports enthusiasts will be able to join together at Canada Place to watch the games and cheer on their Canucks.
The CBC broadcast will be live-fed with full audio beginning on April 15th at 7:00pm.
Game 2 is scheduled for April 17th at 7:00pm. Both home and away games will be broadcast at Canada Place.
