Over the next year we’re going to take some time to meet the athletes who will be waving the flag and owning the podium at Whistler and Vancouver in 2010: Team Virgin.

We’ll talk to them as they work through their World Cup circuits, do some off season training, meet with sponsors and we’ll find out exactly what it takes to become truly world class.

The main sponsor of Canada’s Freestyle team is Canada Post, they’ve got a contest running on Facebook to help get the team some awareness and funding.

As part of Canada Post’s ongoing commitment to the Canadian Freestyle Team, an exciting Guitar Hero style game has been launched on Facebook. CatchAir lets Canadians from coast to coast challenge their friends to perfect the flips and tricks that have made Canada’s freestyle team the world’s best. Each time a challenge is made on CatchAir between now and April 1, 2009, Canada Post will donate $0.25 to support the team. Money raised through playing the game will be added to Canada Post’s ongoing financial commitment to the National Freestyle Team as title sponsor.

To celebrate the launch of CatchAir, and the National Freestyle Championship at Cypress Mountain March 28-29, Canada Post is also sponsoring a contest to encourage fans to show their support for the team. Every person signing on as a fan at the CatchAir Facebook Fan page will be automatically entered to win a laptop computer autographed by the Canada Post Freestyle Ski Team. The contest deadline is April 1, and details and rules can be found at www.CatchAir.ca.
