Sir Richard Branson is Visiting Virgin Radio
.. in Ottawa and Montreal on Tuesday.
I’m still putting the word in for at least a phone call to the other new Virgin Radio on the block, here in Vancouver, but so far the easterners have his schedule all locked up tight.
The charismatic British billionaire’s morning itinerary in Ottawa includes an appearance on the Virgin Radio Ottawa morning show, a tribute from Mayor Larry O’Brien and a soccer shoot out at Lansdowne Park to raise money for children’s charities. Sir Richard plans to be back on his plane before noon, bound for Montreal. On Wednesday, he is scheduled to speak at a marketing event in Toronto.

A visit from Sir Richard is a pretty special thing. He’s the man who created the Virgin brand and he’s the one who sets the standard for all things Virgin.
What does that mean? Have a look at this.
The CEO of Zappos.com had an interesting blog entry a few weeks back about “your culture is your brand.” Basically how your employees do their work and feel at work is really what your company is all about.
At Zappos, our belief is that if you get the culture right, most of the other stuff — like great customer service, or building a great long-term brand, or passionate employees and customers — will happen naturally on its own.
We believe that your company’s culture and your company’s brand are really just two sides of the same coin. The brand may lag the culture at first, but eventually it will catch up.

When it comes to Sir Richard Branson, it’s easy to see why the culture of Virgin has everyone at the Virgin Radio Vancouver Factory excited to come in and punch the clock and do our thing.
Here are some interviews with the Rebel Billionaire. Hopefully we’ll be able to add another to the list if phones in on Tuesday, stay tuned.
