Britney is back, bitches.

Whether or not this is a good thing, or a bad thing is up to you. Personally I think all this hype is like rewarding bad behaviour. Just a year ago she flamed her comeback with the disinterested MTV performance, and now we’re supposed to believe she’s back to her lip synching fiercest?

Meh.

That said, she is back. Her new album, Circus, is out today. She’s unleashed a tour that will bring her to Vancouver on April 8 - the prebuys for Britney’s Vancouver concert are now on - and I’ve dug in the archives to celebrate the rebirth of Brit by finding an interview from the summer of 1999.

Even back then she courted controversy by wearing an Abercrombie and Fitch tshirt to do interviews for a tour sponsored by Tommy Hilfiger.

Oh, and Happy Birthday Brit Brit. The Toxic Womanizer turns 27 today. Twenty-seven and yet not an emotional day over twelve.
