So the Vancouver Canucks Third Jersey debuted this week. Just as we suspected… a different C, a crazy V and the same colours.
While the new unis may look very similar to the old unis, the new merch in the Vancouver Canucks store shows some variety, and it’s the only place to get it. Nothing in the online store yet.
After running around the aquarium this morning, I took Z by to pick us up some t shirts.
While Daddy could find a great Johnny Canuck tshirt, the selection for toddlers is nil. A $50 replica jersey and that’s about it. They have shirts and jackets for those starting at 7, they have sleepers and onesies for infants - nothing for the toddlers. Fail.
But the gear for grownups is great. There’s much usage of Johnny Canuck, the Vachon chef V, and the new stylized C.
There are new hoodies, hats, tshirts and of course the jerseys. Some have the C, some have the V and some are just Johnny.
I give the VANCOUVER and Orca logo until the end of the 2010 season, they’ll sell tons because of the Olympics and then it will go, Johnny Canuck will stay and the NHL will start to become like the English Premiership - new kits every three years.
