Okay Buzz, does LA Weight Loss *really* work?
That was a tweet I got from Fiona Forbes yesterday.
I’m guessing Fiona is asking because LA Weight Loss is a sponsor of my Team Diabetes Easter Island effort. So, yes, I’m being “paid” to represent the company – but here’s the deal, if it was only kinda working, I’d tell you about it, but I wouldn’t be so evangelical. I would fulfill my requirement to spread the word, but I am going out of my way to preach because, honestly and truly, I am marvelling at this system.
I don’t know if I should call it a system, it’s really just learning how to balance your meals throughout the day. Simple lessons, really. Eat lots of little meals, have protein with each one, drink a ton of water. I’ve cut out sugar, pasta, rice and potatoes – that’s pretty much it.
LA Weight Loss supplements the cravings with great snacks called LA Lites. They’re similar to protein bars you’d get and they really knock that chocolate lust I get each day right out of the park.
I have been tweeting a little exuberantly about it, because for the first time in a long time, the digits on my scale and flipped from 2… to 1…. When I was at my heaviest this spring, I tipped in near 215. This weekend I rolled it to 199. Have a look at the number I dialed up on my scale this morning:

Nice work Buzz! That’s hard to do so good on ya.
I’ve also heard that LA Weight Loss is really effective. I’d try it if I ever feel like I really need it.
Congrats Buzz, keep up the awesome work
As they say ” proof is in the pudding” …more appropiately : the numbers on the scale tells the real story for Buzz….CONGRATS Team Diabetes Buddy and to all those people that loose those extra pounds !!
I am blessed with a high metabolism due to regular exercise which for me is walking . Because of having diabetes , I have been reading labels for a long time , eat high fiber foods and actually have to watch NOT to loose too much weight , while in 1/2 marathon training .
Wow. I wish it was working for me. I quickly tired of eating the Lites – the ones I wasn’t allergic to, because I have a nut allergy and so many of them contain nuts. I tried the substitutes, such as the smoothies and drinks but man – the texture is hard to get used to. I found that the food that I was supposed to eat was WAY TOO MUCH for me. I talked to the ladies about it, but it didn’t help. I work two jobs, and I found that I was carrying a grocery size sack of food around with me daily – and my bosses weren’t always keen to give me the time to eat the “snack” or whatever I had to eat to keep on schedule with the small meals. I lost 12 lbs, but then I had to get back to my reality of rushing from one place to another and slowly started putting it back on…
@leslye i like the la lites.. satisfies my choco craving, and taste just like all the other protein bars i’ve eaten in the past so i dont have a prob.
when it comes to carrying a lunch bag with me, i actually LOVE IT .. keeps me off the vending machine, saves me from wasting money at a drive thru.
as for all the food you have to eat, that’s part of how the system works, you’re eating smaller meals more often thereby jacking up your metabolism. you keep that furnace burning energy all day instead of just gearing up at meal time.
not every plan is for every person, but this one is straight up working for me.
damn those are some of the ugliest feet. kinda distracting. what’s with the messed up big toe nails and the crooked smaller toes?
That’s what’s always been hard for me: Cutting on cravings. I appreciate the information you posted: I have been following the links and the information about not just the meal-replacement bars but the snacks are really interesting. This system is extremely useful when it comes to shedding unwanted lbs before a big event (i.e. wedding, corporate function, etc.), but I was wondering, would this system work as a middle ground for heavy weight loss and/or a middle ground to making a lifestyle change?
