Now that I’ve turned the page on my 15th anniversary in the city, I’m going to be digging in to my big box of tapes every week and digging out an old interview from the past to share with you.

It’s something I learned from Red Robinson. When I started back at Z, he was at CISL and he would play tapes of him with Elvis, Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis and the kings of rock. It was then that I realized I was going to interview my generations greatest stars through my own career - so I started taping each interview and archiving everything.

Janet Jackson is, without a doubt, one of the most fun interviews I have ever had. As Janet gets ready to take to the stage at GM Place tonight, let’s go back to August 1998 when she was out on the Velvet Rope tour.

The Rock Witchu adventure is a greatest hits tour. Janet set up a phone number, 1-323-622-8139, where fans could dial in and get their favourite track added to the set list.
