It just might be about time to cut up the cable subscription.
With more and more tv networks streaming content from their websites, a simple Mac Mini attached to a big screen tv could give you all the content you need - well, except the live sports. And, really, that’s the only reason I’m still on the cable package (Go Pens!).
Movies have now been added to the iTunes Store in Canada meaning no more running to the rental store or using your cable company’s on demand service.

While I’m glad it’s finally here in Canada, what’s annoying is the ‘Canada Tax’ on the movie rentals/purchases….they are all $1-5 more than the same flicks on the US store. I regularly watch HD movies for $5 off the US store.
Good thing there are plenty of retailers selling US iTunes cards across the line. Anyone can set up a US store account (or any country store for that matter) - all you need is a gift card from that country.
Although I just read that in Canada, we have a 48 hour rental window…in the US, it’s only $24. Not sure if that is worth the markup.
