Team Diabetes: I’m Going to DisneyWorld! (maybe!)
Posted by: buzz in charity, team diabetesI’ve been doing well (so far) with my push to the Easter Island Marathon in June 09 with Team Diabetes. I have committed to raising $10 000 for the cause, and I’m already 25% of the way there in just a few months.
I’ve been blogging about the event, and if you check out Google for Team Diabetes Easter Island, this blog is popping near the top of many searches.
That’s caught the eye of the promo team, and they’ve asked if I would lead a team of 20 from Vancouver to the Walt Disney World Marathon in January of 09.
Soooo .. before I commit, I’d like to know what kind of team I can get together.
The commitment is $4500 to raise in 6 months. In return you’ll get all the training you need to run a full or half marathon, plus airfare and accomodations. If we can fill the team, that will be nealry $100 000 for the Canadian Diabetes Association. Huge.

This past Jan . we had 4 and 2 supporters from BC ; Burnaby , Kamloops, the Island and us from Salmon Arm ….Sign up folks …the best experince …GOOFY CHALLENGE !!?? of the 35 participants, 15 did the Goofy challenge ….
