Its a toxic substance linked to early onset of puberty.

It's been banned by the Canadian government. It's just as easy for me to buy something WITHOUT BPA - so why would I buy something WITH it?

Ohh, and we don't do the canned either.

Thanks for the comment. I'll choose paranoid safety over toxic.

So, really, you are all over-reacting to this! If you actually go to the Health Canada website and read, you'd be absolutly amazed at what you find!! The link is : http://www.chemicalsubstanceschimiques.gc.ca/challenge-defi/bisphenol-a_e.html When you go here, read the reports. Health Canada did the research! Unless you are actually feeding your baby boiling water or using them right out of the dishwasher without letting them cool or right out of the sterilizer without letting them cool, there is no problem with the bottles! And if you are doing this, shame on you!! I mean baby's cannot drink anything much more than luke warm!! And if you read further on their website, you'll see that the level of exposure is extreamly extreamly low!! And that it's in canned food, cars, toys, cds, ceramic dishes, water bottles, drinking water! I mean anything is horrible and can kill you, especially in large exposure levels. So you are going to freak out over a baby bottle your kid is using for 1 or 2 years, but not care that they are going to be eating canned food items for the next 90? Find something else to dwell on how harmful it is, like your microwave and all the radiation it gives off!

I am so glad this is getting so much attention now. A year ago I told all of my friends about BPA, they thought I was jumping the gun. Don't forget about soothers though, many brands like MAM make the shields and knobs out of BPA. They justify it by saying that the nipple is silicone, and that they only make things that with BPA that are not meant meant for mouthing by babies. That is a direct quote I received from a MAM rep. The shields NEVER come into contact with a babies mouth? I call BS on that statement.
