Happy 2008 gang, here's what's on the radio today.
- Back, by popular demand, the Live Crave Cam where I stream the happenings in our control room. Of special interest to you today is my fancy tshirt I got for Christmas, you gotta watch to see it though.
- It's not called regifting. I like to call it RECYCLING.
My adoration was such that when I visited for the first time in 1996 I thought, "I can die now."
Okay, not that I really wanted to - but just how you see the black people get all sentimental in Africa on The Amazing Race, being in France felt like home to me. I was with my people and it was all good.
It’s true, this blog is not about me. It’s about you talking about me.
Seth Godin, The Lord and God of all this is Marketing and positive in the world, just posted this little nugget:
The truism of the web: people talking about you is far more effective than talking about yourself. [link]
Amen.
However, at the same time Seth often hails the usage of blogs for promotion and marketing and networking and spreading your message.
You have to talk about yourself to get people to talk about you, but it’s the second part of the equation that keeps the momentum going and has the most impact.
You can tell two friends, but it’s the so on and so on that really makes the magic. That’s why I have the tag line “Spread the word, ya heard?” This may be the Blog According to Buzz, but I need you to spread the Gospel.
Can I get an Amen?
The Blog According to Buzz. Spread the word, ya heard?.
There’s going to be more than just words on a page on this blog in 2008, I will be videoblogging this year, or vlogging, as the kewl kids call it.
It will be video diaries, the first one will be showing off the coolest Christmas present I got this year. I will shoot it at work, and post later this afternoon.
Video on the internet, if it already isnt the next big thing, will be in 2008. Most users now have high speed access allowing video to be transferred faster. YouTube and Vimeo and Seesmic make producing and sharing video easy and, frankly, the quality is just as good as the stuff you see on “real” tv.
Check this out:
Jay Leno will return tonight without any writers. It will be *Just Jay* (said like Jack on Will and Grace). Would you think something like this would be out of place on Leno, or The Daily Show or any other variety / news program you watch?
My piece won’t be as good as that, not even close, but this year I will be posting videos of interviews with pop stars, I will shoot vid of my kid, me cooking, serving up opinion on “Hot Topics” and showing off cool Christmas presents. That first video comes this aft.
