pinkJen is a wine rep and knows a thing or two about a thing or two, especially when it’s corked.

First things first, unless your bottle is from the region around Reims, it’s not called Champagne, it’s sparkling wine - or as they call it in the biz, bubble.

If you’re looking for a bubbly booze to pop on New Year’s, pick Pink.

It’s a fresh, flirty bubble from Yellowglen in Australia, it’s just $12 and it’s PINK! It’s cute, and actually very very good.

If you’re a traditionalist, Jen recommends grabbing some Seaview, it’s your regular golden bubbly goodness and has a perfect pricepoint at just $13.

Van Marathon '04It’s time to start thinking about how you’re going to make your life better - the infamous New Year’s Resolution.

Quit smoking, start exercising, eat better, save money - y’know, stuff like that. Never mind Lent, New Year’s is the time we really take stock of our life and try to cut out all the bad stuff, for a week anyway.

I won’t let you in on my NYR, just yet. I do believe in accountability as the best way to help with resolutions. Telling as many people as possible gives you a support system to keep you clean in your ways.

If you’re thinking about getting fit in the New Year, set a real, achievable and strong goal. Not a “lose 10lbs” sort of thing, but an “I will do a Marathon” kind of thing.

Today’s Province newspaper has the training guide for the Vancouver Marathon coming up in May.

I’ve done 3 marathons and 5 half marathons. It will kick your ass and make you happier. Clip out the guide. Follow it. Finally keep a resolution.

Hmmm .. .let’s see.. what kind of tricks can Zacharie do? He can chew on things, he can roll over (only to his left), he can laugh. That’s about it. Nothing major yet at 7 months of age.

Let’s hope we can get him to do something like this soon.

    - The news writers get lazy this week, nothing but Year End Lists.  They really dig deep for them too. Kate Moss has just been announced as the Most eBayed Celebrity of 2007.

    - Tis the season to do lots of travelling.  If you've got kids, you might want to think about grabbing one of these. Lol.

Apple ChristmasMiss 604 did.

So did Meg.

After a little bit of stress, I bought one on Boxing Day (it was actually Christmas Eve, but it was a Boxing Day sale).

Anyhow, if you’re switching over to Apple - thank you.

Back in the middle of September, I swapped out my MSFT stock in my RRSP for some AAPL. Since then it’s +50%.

Today, 5 of the top 10 selling items on Amazon were from Apple and the stock closed over $200 for the first time.

When I’m retired, I’ll send you an iCard.
