Did you think of Madonna? Probably not. But Madonna has been announced as an inductee into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame.
Many are announcing this as a “no brainer.” If it was the Music Hall of Fame, or the Hall of Fame of Contemporary Music, sure. Rock N Roll? Nope.
I mean, it’s not like she didnt try. In a recent tour she went all Sid Vicious in a kilt and weilded a mighty axe.
But try as she may, Madonna is not Rock N Roll.A musical icon? Yes. A legend? Yes. An innovator? Yes. Rock n Roll? No.
Change the name of the museum, I get the sentiment - it’s just the title that’s wrong.
